Revised September 2026. Picture two Huntsville ceilings with identical brown stains. One roof might need a small repair; the other might need far more. The difference comes down to shingle age, flashing, ventilation, the state of the decking, past hail, and how the roof went on in the first place. Nobody can say which case is yours without climbing up to look. That is the whole point of this page.

What this website is not

• Not a verdict on your house. An engineering opinion, a roof inspection, a recommendation about your specific home: none of those live here. Only someone standing on the roof can tell you whether you're facing a repair, a claim, or nothing.
• Not a price list. Service and guide pages carry cost ranges so you can plan a typical project around Huntsville and the rest of North Alabama. They aren't quotes and they don't guarantee anything. Roof pitch, how many layers come off, decking that needs replacing, the materials chosen, how easy the roof is to reach, permit costs, and whatever scope the insurer signs off on will each shift the final figure. The only price is the one on your written estimate.
• Not an insurance adjuster. Whether a hail or wind claim pays out rests on three things: the policy, the deductible, and the adjuster's conclusions. Our role is to document; the carrier rules on coverage. The deductible stays with you, because that is what the law says.
• Not a record of your neighbor's job. The pictures here illustrate the type of condition and the type of work the words describe. None is offered as before-and-after proof of a particular customer's project in Huntsville.
• Not a promise about lifespan. Roofs last as long as weather, attic ventilation, upkeep, nearby trees and hail allow. Good installation improves the odds; it doesn't control the sky. The warranty you hold is the one set down in the contract you sign with the roofer doing the job, and the shingle or panel manufacturer's warranty runs on its own terms and its own registration rules.
• Not the crew. Independent contractors handle the projects that arrive through this site. How they're paid is set out in the referral marketing disclosure.
• Not a guide to other websites. We link elsewhere when it's handy. Those pages aren't ours, and we can't vouch for them.
• Not perfect. Pages get maintained, but details shift and errors creep in. Report one and it gets corrected.
• Not the first number to call in an emergency. Water pouring through, a tree in the roof, sparks or the smell of gas after a storm: clear people out of the area, kill the power to that section if doing so is safe, and ring 911 or the utility. The roof comes after that.
