Roofing in Hampton Cove

Roofing for Hampton Cove and the east side of the mountain

Golf-course neighborhoods with architectural committees, homes on the mountainside with steep roofs and big trees, and acreage toward Gurley — all a short drive over Monte Sano.

Brick colonial home in Huntsville, AL with a new charcoal architectural shingle roof after a storm clears

Hampton Cove sits in the valley east of Monte Sano — the Robert Trent Jones course, the 1990s–2010s neighborhoods around it, the newer construction toward Owens Cross Roads and Big Cove, and the acreage and farms out Highway 431 toward Gurley. The subdivisions have architectural committees with shingle-color and material rules; the mountain-side homes on Monte Sano and the cove's edges have steep roofs, complex valleys and trees that drop limbs in every storm; and the whole valley funnels the straight-line winds that come over the mountain.

We handle the HOA submissions, the Madison County and Owens Cross Roads permits, and the steep-slope work the mountain homes require. Storm claims here are wind and limb damage as often as hail. Standing seam is common on the newer custom homes; Class 4 and FORTIFIED shingles are the upgrade of choice in the subdivisions.

Questions from Hampton Cove homeowners

Does the HOA have to approve my roof?

In most Hampton Cove neighborhoods, yes — a color and material submission. We prepare it with the sample and the form.

Can you handle a steep roof on the mountain?

Yes — steep-slope work is roped and staged, priced accordingly, and the drone does the inspection where walking isn't safe.

Who issues the permit?

Madison County for most of Hampton Cove and Big Cove; the Town of Owens Cross Roads inside its limits.

Do you come out to Gurley?

Yes — the acreage and farms out 431 are regular territory for replacements, metal and storm work.
